Charles D. Rogers was born about 1844. His mother was Sophia E., and she was born in NH. His father was born in NY.
When he joined the WI 15th Infantry, the army listed him as living in Milwaukee, WI and age 19. He enlisted for three years on January 1, 1862 at Milwaukee and was immediately appointed Quartermaster Sergeant (Sersjant). Rogers mustered at Madison, WI on February 13, 1862. However, he was discharged from the service for a disability on May 20, 1862.
In 1866, Charles married Emma L. They had three children: Alice E., Fannie, and Ralph. He worked in real estate.
