Aslak Torgerson was born in Norway. He joined the WI 15th Infantry, Company H. His residence is not shown at the time he joined as a Private (Menig). The army listed him as age 44 and a farmer with gray eyes, blond hair, light complexion,and 5’11”. He died of pneumonia at Camp Randall Post Hospital in Madison, WI on March 17, 1864. He was buried in Madison, WI.
