Martin Anderson joined the WI 15th Infantry, Company D. The men of the company called themselves the “Norway Wolf Hunters.” They were also known as the “Waupun Company” because so many of its members were from Waupun.
The army listed Anderson as living in Norway Township, Racine County, WI. He enlisted on November 5, 1861, as a Corporal (Korporal). He transferred to the Veterans Reserve Corps on December 31, 1863. He mustered out on December 31, 1864.
