Hans Adriens was born in Norway. He joined the WI 15th Infantry as an unassigned recruit and Private (Menig). The army listed Adriens as living in Windsor, WI, age 37, and a farmer. He had gray eyes, light hair, light complexion, and stood 5’6½”. He enlisted for one year on August 23, 1864 at Madison, WI, and mustered there on August 29, 1864. As a recruit, he was entitled to bounty of $100.
