Peter Lawrenson was born in Denmark. He joined the WI 15th Infantry as an unassigned recruit. The army listed him as living in Racine, WI, age 42 and a farmer. He had blue eyes, brown hair, light complexion, and stood 5’8”. Lawrenson enrolled for three years on November 29, 1862 at Racine with a bounty of $100. He served as a Private (Menig).
