C. Mussett was born in France. He joined the WI 15th Infantry, but was not assigned to a company. The army listed him as living in La Crosse, WI, age 25, and a farmer. He had gray eyes, brown hair, fair complexion, and stood 5’. Mussett enlisted for three years on August 28, 1862 at La Crosse as a Private (Menig) with a bounty of $100. He died on September 30, 1862 and is buried in Cave Hill National Cemetery at Louisville, KY; section A, grave 4.
